Project Brief

Modules to communicate directly with JK BMS units via RS485 and other interfaces, supplying data to WiFi and Bluetooth networks. Enables superior data access without going through an inverter, ideal for multiple BMS setups.

JK BMS units hold a wealth of data โ€” individual cell voltages, temperatures, balancing state, cycle counts, capacity โ€” but this data is typically only accessible through the manufacturer's app over Bluetooth, or indirectly via an inverter's display. This project creates direct communication modules that expose all BMS data to your local network.

The module will support multiple simultaneous BMS units on a single RS485 bus, making it ideal for large off-grid setups with parallel battery banks. Data feeds into the central monitoring platform alongside the inverter data.
